We don’t often see the Air Force 1 Low sport a black and white base these days, with most pairs filtering through primarily decked out in either or. But before 2020 closes out, it looks like we’ll be treated to this beautifully balanced release paired with striking pops of royal blue and a few flashes of chrome for good measure.
Ostensibly channeling Fragment’s trio of tones, the pair’s jet black tumbled leather overlays atop its white leather base and its striking blue rear and Swoosh overlays evoke a sense of Frag familiarity. The upper and lower feel like two separate sections, thanks to a thick, all-white sole unit beneath juxtaposing the heavy contrast of the paneling above. Liners and tongues arrive in flat whites, with laces of black and standard-issue dubraes completing the expected finished above. Though it’s the pair’s most special feature, its use of chrome goes almost unnoticed thanks to its diverse upper, with splashes of the shiny metallic sitting beneath the profile Swooshes, and at the rear’s Nike Air branding and new Three-Star heel finish. The pair is capped off with a special-edition medallion hang tag which again reiterates the starry theme.
